Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC)

Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) arises from uncontrolled growth of abnormal squamous cells, which make up most of the epidermis. It often resembles warts, sores, or red patches.

SCC is caused by a lifetime of exposure to UV rays. It may appear on any part of the body but is most frequently found in areas most exposed to the sun.

Some treatments include surgical excision, Mohs Micrographic Surgery, cryosurgery, laser surgery, and topical medication.
